The Oscar-winning actress and singer says she will not prepare a feast on Christmas. “I’m not going to cook. I’m actually having a huge Christmas family dinner celebration… they’re doing Weight Watchers, too… all they have to do is come and look good.”

Following the birth of son David Otunga Jr. in 2009, Hudson said she was motivated to lose the baby weight. “After being pregnant for months, saying I want my body back… I did something different. I actually gained a new body!”

Jennifer keeps fit by doing four sets of push-ups, leg squats and sit-ups every day. Her workout program includes an hour of intense cardio and another hour of resistance training.

She told CBS’s Early Show that “Towards the end of my pregnancy I was just like ‘I want my body back to whatever it was before’.”

“Then I realised I had the power to get myself back and wanted to do something different with it.”

she added,”My son is my motivation and inspiration for everything. I realise that he’s watching, he’s like a sponge right now absorbing everything we do.”

“He’s always slept through the night so we lucked out big time!”

Hudson has not publicly announced her pregnancy and, when reached for comment on the reported birth on Tuesday (August 11), a representative for her label said he, too, could not confirm the pregnancy or birth. Rumors began to circulate that she was expecting earlier this year when she appeared to be showing on her inaugural tour of the U.S.

The Reporter said that the proud parents did not find out the sex of the baby in advance, so they were prepared with pink and blue clothes just in case. Hudson reportedly prepared for the birth with a baby shower in her native Chicago in May. Hudson appeared visibly pregnant last month when she performed at the memorial service for Michael Jackson.

A possible reason for the silence, the Reporter speculated, was partially due to a desire for privacy, but also perhaps superstition in the wake of the family tragedy she suffered in October, when her mother, brother and nephew were murdered in Chicago. The child was reportedly conceived a short time after the murders.

The estranged husband of Hudson’s sister, William Balfour, has been charged in the murders and is awaiting trial.
