Prime Minister Naoto Kan said that radiation has spread from four reactors of the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear plant in Fukushima province that was one of the hardest-hit in last weeks 9.0-magnitude earthquake and tsunami.

Well sure the answer wiould be they would try their best. Here in this regard google provided its helping hand ahead to search the people. The name of the helpinh hand is GOOGLE PERSON FINDER. It was first used in haiti earthquake last year. Google Person Finder is a handy tool that lets you search a user-created database of people using a missing person’s name. If you don’t find a match for the person you’re searching for, you can leave information about her or him, as well as a message. You can also leave information about yourself for your loved ones, or add some information about another person.

The present status of the google person finder is some what like the following:

The Hong Kong dollar rose against the U.S. dollar for the third consecutive session Thursday due to the U.S. currency‘s weakness offshore after the U.S. Federal Open Market Committee reiterated the U.S. recovery remains weak.

In late Asian trade, the U.S. dollar was at HK$7.7866, down from HK$7.7872 late Wednesday. The U.S. currency was fixed at HK$7.7854 earlier Thursday.

Traders said major movements in the Hong Kong dollar are unlikely ahead of the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday. They added they expect the U.S. unit to trade in a HK$7.7840-HK$7.7890 range Friday.

“The weak outlook of the U.S. economy is making investors cautious. The U.S. dollar is unlikely to rebound against the Hong Kong unit in the near term,” said a trader at a local bank.

The Federal Reserve, acknowledging a slow recovery and stubbornly high unemployment, decided Wednesday to proceed with its plans to buy as much as $600 billion in long-term Treasury bonds as it awaits a stronger pickup in growth.

In a statement after its two-day meeting, the FOMC said “the economic recovery is continuing, though at a rate that has been insufficient to bring about a significant improvement in labor market conditions.”

The euro rose to a two-month high of $1.3727 around 0740 GMT.

However, a senior trader at a local bank said the Hong Kong dollar’s rise against the U.S. dollar was capped because “banks are buying the U.S. dollar on short-covering after two sessions of declines against the Hong Kong dollar.”

He added U.K. banks were buying the U.S. unit around the HK$7.7845 level, in batches of $50 million and $100 million.

The one-year U.S. dollar/Hong Kong dollar forward contract was quoted at a discount of 247 points to the spot rate, widening from a 245-point discount late Wednesday.

The last confirmed sighting prior to that was on Wednesday 8 December in his home town. Vulnerable Andrew, who suffers from bipolar disorder and doesn’t have his medication with him, helped raise funds for the new Beacon Arts Centre set to grace Greenock’s waterfront. He has many friends in Inverclyde and also in Glasgow.

His distraught mum Janet, 71 – who last spoke to him on the phone on 10 December – made an emotional public appeal for her son to come home three days before Christmas. Police say it is highly unusual for Andrew not to be in touch with his family or friends and say everyone is extremely concerned for his well-being and safety. He is known to visit pubs and clubs around the John Street area of Glasgow city centre and officers have been monitoring and checking CCTV images there in the hope of finding a clue to his whereabouts.

Andrew is 5ft 8in tall, slim, with short brown hair, clean shaven and with a fair complexion. When last seen, he was smartly dressed, wearing a black jacket, dark blue jeans, a dark coloured shirt with an intricate pattern on it and black leather shoes. He was also wearing a black flat cap. However, police have revealed he was not wearing his glasses. Sergeant Mark Nelis, of Greenock police office, said: “It’s completely out of character for Andrew to go missing and not contact any of his family or friends.

“His family is extremely distressed and growing increasingly concerned for his wellbeing.

“We would appeal to anyone who can shed any light on Andrew’s whereabouts or anyone who may be aware of his movements in the past few weeks to please contact us as a matter of urgency.”

He added: “This is the last major push to try to find out what happened to Andrew between 10 and 11 December, and to get any information that would lead us to find him.

“We will wait for any response and maintain links with Andrew’s family, but we are scaling down the search. We’ve done everything we possibly can and we are awaiting fresh information.

“There’s nothing to suggest that anything suspicious has happened to Andrew. It’s more likely that he has been the victim of a tragic accident.”

Andrew vanished from his home close to Port Glasgow town centre on Wednesday 8 December. Extensive police inquiries have been carried out since his disappearance and his distraught mum Janet, 71, from Prestwick, made an emotional public appeal for information just days before Christmas.

But efforts to trace him have so far proved unsuccessful.

Andrew, who suffers from bipolar disorder and doesn’t have his prescribed medication, was last seen dressed in blue jeans and a black three-quarter length jacket with a red scarf, black cap and black shoes. He wasn’t wearing his glasses.

Edsall said, “Howard’s death was especially tragic, because he was about to become a father. No additional information about the expectant mother, identified by Edsall as Howard’s girlfriend, was provided by police or the university”.

Joanglia Howard said,” she got news of her son’s death about 4 a.m., and described him as a “good kid” who never got into trouble”.

Andrew McCaffer (43), who has helped raise more than £100 million for arts projects over his career, disappeared from Greenock at lunchtime on Wednesday, December 8.

Mr McCaffer had spoken to his mother Janet(71), a widow from Prestwick, every day but surprisingly he has not been in contact since disappearing.

Police, who have ruled out any financial irregularities, say no money has been withdrawn from his bank account and his lack of contact is “extremely out of character”.

The mother said: “I just need to know he is safe. He’s a nice young man who is quite trusting of folk.”

“As time goes on I’m beginning to lose hope. I’m quite sure if he was able to, he wouldn’t worry me like this. We’re a very close family.”

She added that “I usually speak to him every day. I have called him several times but I think his mobile phone is switched off.

“He has so many friends and he could be visiting them in Glasgow. He always liked Glasgow – he went to university there.”

Chief Inspector Graeme MacDiarmid, area commander for Inverclyde, asked the public to look out for Mr McCaffer, who was reported missing on December 15.
